Hepatitis B Vaccination Donations

Hepatitis B is a vaccine-preventable liver disease caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). HBV is transmitted when blood, semen, or another body fluid from a person infected with the virus enters the body of someone who is uninfected. Health knowledge of the grass roots people about Hepatitis B vaccination is very limited and get very few limited attentions. An estimated 257 million individuals worldwide are infected with the hepatitis B virus (HBV). 887,000 people died in 2015 as a consequence of complications from hepatitis B infection, the majority of which were cirrhosis and hepatocellular cancer. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicted that 3.5% of the world’s population had HBV infections in the same year. The percentage of people who were born before the hepatitis B vaccination was available who still have chronic HBV infection is very significant. Africa (6.1%) and the Western Pacific (6.2%) areas had the greatest prevalence rates, followed by Asia (2%). Hepatitis B infection is moderately to very prevalent in Myanmar. In 2015, a countrywide seroprevalence survey found that viral hepatitis B affected 6.5% of the general population. The incidence varied according to geography, with Kayah State having the lowest frequency (4.2%) and the Yangon Region having the highest (10%). This is because of the limited attentions on Hepatitis B vaccination knowledge. If they can properly take vaccination, the risks of getting Hepatitis B would be very less which can save tremendous amount of treatment expenses of Hepatis B disease and can live longer happy life. Our country in combine would easily save the huge medical expenses of treatment of Hepatis B patients. So, we continually arrange Hepatitis B vaccination campaign to get confirmed Antibody Hepatitis B at various Schools, monastery and society.
